Parks and the riverfront near Ashley Lofts

You do not get a yard in a container loft, so the parks and the river stand in for one. The closest are a short walk, and all of them are run by the City of Jacksonville.

James Weldon Johnson Park

About half a mile south, the Northbank Riverwalk runs along the St. Johns River with the downtown skyline behind it. A stretch of it reopened in 2026 with a new riverfront music garden. It is a City of Jacksonville park, open daily.

North of the lofts

Klutho Park, along Hogans Creek, is a few blocks north at the edge of the district. Farther north in Springfield is Springfield Park, renamed in 2020. Both are City of Jacksonville parks. For a longer riverfront walk, the Southbank Riverwalk and Friendship Fountain are across the river, reached by the bridges.
