Ashley Lofts is about a mile west of Downtown Jacksonville's sports and entertainment district, close enough that a game or a concert is an evening out, not a road trip. Here is what is over there.

What is in the district

About a mile east of the lofts, along the river, sit four venues close together: EverBank Stadium, home of the Jacksonville Jaguars; Daily's Place, the amphitheater attached to its north end; VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, which hosts concerts and the Jacksonville Icemen hockey team; and VyStar Ballpark, home of the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp baseball team. VyStar Ballpark was known as 121 Financial Ballpark until it was renamed in 2024.

The Stadium of the Future

EverBank Stadium is being rebuilt as the Stadium of the Future, a $1.4 billion renovation the Jaguars and the City of Jacksonville agreed to in June 2024, with completion set for 2028 and capacity expanding to 70,000. The Jaguars play through construction. VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena and VyStar Ballpark run their regular concert and sports seasons next door.

Living a mile from it

The practical difference is that you are not parking in a stadium lot and crawling home afterward. You are a mile away, and for many events a walk, a short ride or a bus is simpler than driving. Homes at Ashley Lofts are studio lofts of about 320 square feet, built inside a single steel shipping container, each with a full-size washer and dryer, granite counters and a tiled walk-in shower.
